Gate Access

Access Control Officers (ACOs) are on duty 24/7 at the gatehouse. Their contact number is (904)996-0672.

Visitors to your residence are managed by you through the Gate Sentry computer system. Review the operation of Gate Sentry.

To authorize a visitor you simply add the visitor to your guest list or service vendor list in Gate Sentry. No phone contact with the gatehouse is required. When your visitor arrives the access control officer (ACO) will locate them on your lists, verify their identity by checking their driver’s license and then grant them access. Depending on how you set your notifications in Gate Sentry you will receive a text and/or email to let you know your guest has arrived. If a visitor arrives that is not in Gate Sentry the ACO will call the first two numbers appearing in your Gate Sentry account. If you don’t respond the visitor will be turned away.

Why does the ACO check for a valid driver’s license?

Your Association controls access to the system of private roads in Hampton Park on your behalf. We need to insure the person requesting access is who they say they are. We also need to insure they are authorized to operate a motor vehicle in Hampton Park. Government issued photo ID is required by almost all access control functions in today’s society and Hampton Park is no exception. Optionally as a convenience for reentry, the ACO will take a photo of the license. Next time the visitor arrives the ACO will use the photo for validation and the driver will not need to show their license again. If your visitor does not wish to show the ACO their license you have the option of accepting responsibility yourself for the visitor by coming to the gate and escorting the visitor to your residence.

I will have a number of visitors for a special occasion. Do I have to put them all in Gate Sentry? 

No. You have the option of preparing a written list for the ACO to use. Place your name, address and a date/time for the occasion on a list with the names of all your guests and deliver the list to the gatehouse. When guests arrive the ACO will verify their driver’s license and if they are on the list they will be granted access. As these guests are not in Gate Sentry you will not receive notification of their arrival. If the guest is not on the list and they are not in Gate Sentry the ACO will call you for authorization. If you don’t respond the visitor will be turned away. Before accepting the list the ACO will require your pass phrase so have it with you.

I will have a number of visitors for a special occasion and I won’t know all their names.

 No problem. You have the option of requesting “No Call” access for a specific date/time. Simply call the gatehouse, give the ACO your pass phrase so we know it’s really you, and request “No Call” access for your occasion (can’t be for more than a 24 hour period). When visitors to your residence arrive the ACO will verify their driver’s license and grant them entry. As these guests are not in Gate Sentry you will not receive notification of their arrival.

The ACO won’t let my visitor in. What should I or the visitor do?

Visitors may be denied access for several reasons as detailed above. The ACO will call both your listed numbers to try to resolve the issue. If the attempts fail as a last resort you may have to come to the gate to escort your visitor into the community. Be sure and have your pass phrase so we know it’s you.
